The Buffalo Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau sorority recently elected officers for 2011-13. New board members are: president, Nicole Moretta Ball; vice president, Michele Luppino; treasurer, Mary Glor Bolton; recording secretary, Michelle Wheeler Kenyon; corresponding secretary, Elizabeth Syposs Maerten; chaplain, Dolores Crapsi Schmidt; Panhellenic representative, Jean Ryckman McNamara; historian, Cassandra Pershyn; and editor, Catherine Kieffer Gervase.

A board meeting will be held Monday in the home of Nicole Ball to discuss plans for the upcoming year.


Servers, the support group of the Western New York Federation of Women's Clubs, will have its annual summer picnic Aug. 20 at the home of Sarah Pratt Tobin, 8714 Center St., Holland. A meeting at 11 a.m. to discuss fundraising and other business will precede the social period. Guests are welcome. For reservations, call Margaret Brunson at 652-5836.


Sally Buckingham will be the guest speaker at a salad bar buffet luncheon of the Northtowns Christian Women's Connection at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 24 in Christ United Methodist Church, 350 Saratoga Road, Snyder. Her talk is titled "Peace Through Everchanging Life." Ben Atanacio will perform the lost art of bell ringing. The cost is $7. For reservations, call Kathy at 874-0109 or Patty at 691-4142.
