OLAF FUB SEZ: Our favorite line from poet Sara Teasdale, born on this date in 1884, "I make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes."

Summer slowly ebbs into the past

As the warm months race by so fast.

Memories of beautiful days and cool nights,

Of late picnics in the park in flickering lights.

There were carefree days of

Very happy and peaceful splendor

As each hour was

Our special treasure.

Lazily reclining with a refreshing drink

As we take the time to reflect and think

Of the comfort and warmth of a summer day,

When work was put aside as we engaged in play.

Soon August will become another chapter in time

As we contemplate the fall, its beauty so sublime.
