GALIANO, Charles Joseph

GALIANO - Charles Joseph February 1, 1937 - July 28, 2011, of
Omaha, NE. Known to his friends as Chuck and C.J. Born in Buffalo, NY, to the late Joseph and Julia Galiano. Also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lynne, and sister, Sue Caligiuri. Chuck was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked many years for the Southern Pacific Railroad. In retirement, he volunteered his time and talent as a video production specialist for Westside Church where he was a member. He lived in many places, but Omaha became his home. Chuck had an adventurous spirit pursuing many interests including skydiving, scuba diving, trap shooting, golf, bowling, and even was a stunt driver. His most recent thrill was his trip to Israel where he was baptized in the Jordan River. Survived by children: Dean (Marilyn), Craig, Drew (Ruth), daughters Tina Knisley (Bob), and Cathy McGrew (Mike), seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, sisters Donna Galiano and Irene Malicki (Wally), and brother-in-law Tony Caligiuri. Also survived by many beloved lifetime friends. Chuck is happy now with his Savior, but will be dearly missed and always loved. Memorial Service, Thursday, August 11, 10 AM, followed by reception at Westside Church, Omaha, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Westside Church, American Cancer Society, and Lydia House.
