CHILDREN'S CONCERT: The KVIS Kenmore Children's Concert Series is holding its final concert, featuring the Buffalo Swing Band, from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. Tuesday on the lawn of Kenmore Middle School, 155 Delaware Road. In the event of rain, the concert will be moved to Kenmore United Methodist Church, 32 Landers Road.
INFORMATION SESSIONS: Child and Adolescent Treatment Services, a mental health agency dedicated to children's mental health issues in our community, will hold free one-hour community information sessions beginning at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in the agency's administrative offices, at Airport Commerce Park, 301 Cayuga Road, Suite 200, Cheektowaga. Other sessions will be held at: 9 a.m. Thursday; 7:30 a.m., Aug. 16; 6:15 p.m., Aug. 22; 3 p.m., Aug. 23; and 7:45 a.m. Sept. 14. Call 819-3420, Ext. 106, to reserve a space or for information.
TRAINING SESSION: A state-mandated training session for professionals on identifying and reporting child abuse, maltreatment and neglect will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, in the LoGuidice Educational Center, D Building, 9520 Fredonia-Stockton Road, Fredonia. Participants should bring their license or certificate number with them if possible. A state Education Department certificate of completion will be provided for each course participant.
