How about some great free country music as a side dish to that tasty barbecue?
That's what they're serving during the WYRK Taste of Country BBQ Nationals, taking place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday in the front parking lot at the Eastern Hills Mall in Clarence.
The event is headlined by country star Jack Ingram, plus there's an area for the kids and plenty of great food as barbecue teams from across the state compete to see who makes the best brisket, chicken, pork and ribs.
Ingram, named the Academy of Country Music's top new male vocalist in 2008, is known for such hits as "Barefoot and Crazy," "That's a Man" and "Wherever You Are." He performs at 5 p.m. Saturday, but don't wait until then to go. Music starts at noon with West of the Mark, Gregg Sansone and Ransomville. For more info: www.wyrk.com.
