Gabriella Mayfield of Lake Isabella, Calif. defeated Melanie Hannon of Cheektowaga, 212-170 and 235-225, in the High School Girls Division semifinals of the Teen Masters bowling tournament at New York's Grand Central Terminal.
Hannon, a junior at Maryvale who qualified fifth, averaged 197 in defeating Katelyn Simpson of Boise, Idaho, 3-0, and Correen Lieber of Issaquah, Wash., 3-1, in matches at Laurel Lanes in Mount Laurel, N.J., before the tournament shifted to Grand Central's Vanderbilt Hall for the semifinals and finals.

Four members of the Buffalo Soccer Academy girls Under-12 Premiere team, Riley Bowers, Hannah Spitzer, Molly Preston and Madisyn Pezzino, were part of the winning team at the Kickit 3v3 Regional Championship, held last weekend at the Clarence Soccer Club. Two other members of the team, Maddy Lowe and Caitie Rennoldson, play in the Rochester area.
The team went under the name "The Flash," winning in the semifinals, 4-3, against a team from New Hampshire and won the final by beating last year's world champions from Connellsville, Pa., by the same 4-3 score.
By winning, the Flash advances to the world championships at Walt Disney World's Wide World of Sports in January, competing against other regional champions and other nations.
FOOTBALL: Members of the Monday Quarterback Club will attend a Buffalo Bills evening practice session Wednesday, at St. John Fisher College in Pittsford.
