STEENBURGH - Teresa Ann Of Buffalo, formerly of Penfield, NY, age 28, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 29, 2011. Teresa was born May 4, 1983 in Rochester, NY, daughter of Karl and Peggy Steenburgh; sister to April and Melissa Steenburgh. She was engaged to be married to David Cullen Kerr. She is also survived by her grandmother, Ethel Olmstead; her aunts, Dale Kovanovic (Larry) and Pat Steenburgh (late Tom); her uncles, Frank Steenburgh (Fran), Paul Steenburgh (Bonnie), Eric Steenburgh (Joanna), William Steenburgh (Lynn); and her many cousins, and will be greatly missed by all. Teresa was a 2001 Penfield High School graduate, was Phi BetaKappa at Buffalo University for her Bachelor of Arts in English awarded in 2005 and was currently engaged in a Master of Social Work at Buffalo University. Teresa lived in Buffalo with David Cullen Kerr and her beloved cat Miles. Teresa was a bright, bubbly person who threw herself headlong into everything she did and brought smiles to everyone around her. She cared deeply about her friends and family
and was incredible at showing it in
unexpected and amazing ways. She was a member and regular visitor of the Buffalo Zoo and a strong advocate for supporting it in any way possible. She loved photography and many of the images captured her enjoyment of the Zoo, as well as her friends and family. Calling hours Wednesday 5-8 PM at the RICHARD H. KEENAN FUNERAL HOMES, Village Location, 41 S. Main St., Fairport. Funeral service Thursday, 2 PM at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Fairport. Teresa was a strong supporter of TWLOHA (To Write Love On Her Arms,, a non-profit movement in support of people dealing with depression, addiction and suicide. In lieu of flowers, donations to the organization would be appreciated.
