Travers Collins principal William M. Collins was appointed ombudsman for the Americas Region by the Worldcom Public Relations Group. Worldcom is the world's largest network of independent public relations firms.

A former chairman of the Americas Region, Collins will now serve an open-ended term as ombudsman to resolve conflicts between partner firms in the network.

Mark C. Massaro, of the Williamsville office of Ameriprise Financial, qualified as an Ameriprise Financial private wealth adviser.

Lifetime Health Medical Group physicians Dr. Douglas Golding and Dr. Mark Cohen recently participated in and presented at the "Spring 2011 Summit Series: Electronic Health Records and Meaningful Use," organized by the New York eHealth Collaborative.

Phillips Lytle partner David P. Flynn recently served as a speaker and moderator for the Advanced Wind Energy Supply Chain Workshop, a program sponsored by the Greater Rochester Enterprise and Phillips Lytle. He also moderated a session of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership's 2011 Renewable Energy Series titled "Business Opportunities in the Photovoltaic Supply Chain."

Oogie Games, a Western New York locally owned chain of video game stores, recently celebrated the grand opening of its new 3,500-square-foot retail store at 6051 Transit Road, Depew. It is the third Oogie Games location.

Liberty Vineyards and Winery, of Sheridan, earned five medals at the Riverside International Wine Competition in Riverside, Calif. The awards included a gold for 2009 Barrel-Select Noiret, silver medals for Traminette, Cat Noir and Reds, Whites & Blues. The winery also received three medals at the recent Tasters Guild International Wine Judging in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Fagin & Associates Prosthodontists received the Eagle Award in Scottsdale, Ariz., from Mercer Advisors, a national practice-management company for dentistry. The Amherst practice specializes in rehabilitative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and implant dentistry.
