The Bar Association of Erie County recently recognized Rocco Lucente for his 25 years of membership. Lucente is a managing partner at Cohen and Lombardo, a Buffalo-based law firm.

Corr Distributors, a distributor of janitorial equipment and cleaning supplies, appointed Regan Corr and Charlie Elardo to its sales force.

Corr is a recent graduate of Colgate University. Elardo has more than 25 years of industry experience. He has worked the last nine years for Betco Corp., a manufacturer of cleaning chemicals, equipment and sport floor coatings, based in Toledo, Ohio.

Buffalo Lodging Associates, a hotel development and third-party management company, appointed Peter Marks general manager for the Homewood Suites Holyoke/Springfield-North hotel in Holyoke, Mass.


Marketing Tech appointed Marghi Truncali an account executive. Truncali was most recently client coordinator at Brittany Industries in North Tonawanda. She is a graduate of Canisius College. Marketing Tech is a Buffalo-owned-and-operated marketing services company in the Tri-Main Building on Main Street.

Holiday Valley Resort in Ellicottville recently hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening of its Aerial Adventure Park. The $2.5 million Sky High Adventure Park, in the Tannenbaum area of the resort, is an outdoor experience where visitors can explore the treetop courses, crossing platforms and bridges, climbing ladders, navigating obstacles and soaring on zip lines. The Aerial Adventure Park will be open to ages 7 and up. It will operate daily until Sept. 5 and on weekends only from Sept. 10 to Oct. 9.

CUBRC Inc., Buffalo, was awarded a $562,245 federal contract for research and development from the U.S. Air Force Materiel Command, Rome, N.Y.

The Cheektowaga Chamber of Commerce's annual award recipients are: Business of the Year, Elaine's Flower Shoppe; Citizen of the Year, Thomas S. Kolbert; Community Service Award, Chief of Police (retired) Christine Ziemba; and Special Presentation Award, Villa Maria College 50th anniversary.

The Bank of Castile was ranked in the top 15 percent of community banks across the nation by Siefried and Brew, a community bank risk-management firm.
