Age: Old enough to know better; young enough not to care.

Atmosphere: Rollicking good time.

Drinks: Happy hour, 5-7 p.m. Monday-Friday. ($3 well/$1.50 draft). Martini/Margarita Madness on Thursday nights, Margarita specials on Friday ($3).

Music: Live music every night except Wednesdays (karaoke).

Eats: Sandwiches, finger food, fish fry. Monday night is Seafood Night.

Eextras: Annual Pirate Raid at noon July 20. Get wet and be wild.

Music: Every night during the summer. Boys of Summer every Tuesday.

Eats: Finger foods and sandwiches on the patio. Full menu indoors.

AcQua (formerly Harry's Harbour Place Grille)

New ownership and staff getting their sea legs.

Age: More Eddie Bauer than Abercrombie.

Atmosphere: Summer chic.

Drinks: Happy hour, 3-7 p.m. Monday-Friday. with drink specials and $5 Pinnacle Whipped Vodka martinis. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres on Friday.

Music: DJ, 10 p.m. Friday, Saturdays. Live music, 3-7 p.m. Sundays.

Eats: New menu with sandwiches, salads, pizzettes and full dinners. Seafood specials.

Extras: Upper and lower patio bars; soft seating on lower terrace.


Dug's Dive

Age: A mishmash.

Atmosphere: Buoyed spirits.

Drinks: Dug's Down & Dirty Happy Hour, 3-6 p.m. daily.

Eats: Full menu. Get summery with clams, oysters or a lobster dawg.

Extras: Bar is shaped like a boat. Views of boats, steel mill and windmills.


Templeton Landing

Patio open to 11 p.m. Indoor bar perfect to watch a sunset or storm.

Age: A little bit of everything.

Atmosphere: Is that your company's CEO? Swanky, but comfortable.

Drinks: Fresh Taste of Summer specialty drinks like Ruby Reds ($8) and Burning Mandarin Martinis ($9); craft beers on tap.

Music: Live music, Thursday-Sunday.

Eats: Full lunch and dinner menus. Special patio menu.

The Shores Waterfront Restaurant

No patio bar but you can carry drinks outdoors.

Age: Age boxes 30-35, 36-42, 42-55 plus.

Atmosphere: Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.

Music: Live music, 6:30 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 5 p.m. Sunday.

Drinks: Happy hour specials, 3-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

Eats: Finger food to dinners.

Extras: "Goodfellas" decor. Large outdoor area; view of the Grand Island Bridge. Boats can dock at gas dock.


Dockside Inn

Atmosphere: Good clean fun.

Eats: Full menu with lots of seafood specials.

Water Street Landingm

Age: Seniors (college graduates to the AARP'ers)

Atmosphere: A little Chippewa feel.

Music: Music on the patio, Friday-Sunday. Tuesdays with Jack Civiletto (Frank Sinatra songs and $11.99 dinner specials). Music on Mondays for the Clam Slam.

Eats: Fine dining to fish fries, ribs and clams. Clam Slam Mondays $4.99 a dozen, Wednesday $5.99 ribs; $5.99 Friday Fish Fry; $9.99 lobster tails daily.

Extras: Tide turns at 10 p.m. with DJ mixing everything from Salt-n-Pepa to TLC to Jay-Z. Covered patio. Tired of the young folk? Head upstairs to the Side Bar.



Sunset Bar & Grill

Age: Legal drinking age to the Ancient Mariner.

Atmosphere: "Summer Breeze" by Seals & Crofts.

Drinks: Sunday happy hour, 2-6 p.m.

Music: Blues bands, 6 p.m. Wednesdays; live music, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Eats: Blue Wednesdays with Blue Burgers, Blue Point Oysters, Lobster Corn Dogs, Oysters Rockefeller, raw bar items and more. Select 2-4-1 appetizers on Sunday.

Wilson Boat House
