The third annual Tom Borrelli Memorial Tournament will be held Wednesday, July 27 at Holland Hills Country Club. The event benefits the Tom Borrelli Memorial Award and Scholarship Fund.

The awards, which will go to Western New York's top senior male and female lacrosse players, will be presented at the dinner following the tournament. The $100 cost per golfer includes golf (10 a.m. shotgun scramble), cart, chicken and ribs dinner, one-hour open bar and prizes. There will also be raffles and drawings.

To register or to donate to the fund, mail a check payable to the Tom Borrelli Memorial Award and Scholarship Fund, along with the names of golfers, dinner guests and a contact e-mail address and a phone number to: Tom Borrelli Memorial Award, Sports Department, The Buffalo News, P.O. Box 100, Buffalo, NY 14240.

There will also be a pre-tournament raffle with prizes to include a Ryan Miller autographed stick, Buffalo Bills golf bag, framed Augusta National photo poster, Jim Kelly autographed football and more. Raffle tickets are $5 each or three for $10.

The Buffalo Bills and American Red Cross will host their fifth Annual Blood Drive at Ralph Wilson Stadium today from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Donors will receive a Buffalo Bills/American Red Cross T-shirt, complimentary tickets to the Bills uniform launch event, which is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., and will be entered in drawings for other prizes. Donors will also be offered a complimentary 2010 version of the Bills home or away jersey. The Buffalo Jills and 97 Rock DJ Jickster will be on hand.


Danny Diliberto will be on hand to sign copies of his book, Road Player, the Danny Dilibero Story at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Screening Room, 3131 Sheridan Dr., Amherst, followed by a showing of the movie "The Hustler" at 8 p.m.

Diliberto is a professional pool player, nicknamed "Buffalo Dan." He was elected into the One Pocket Hall of Fame in 2004 for his 'outstanding contribution to the legacy of the game.


BASEBALL: The Buffalo School of Baseball will hold a 3-day clinic Tuesday through Thursday from noon to 2 p.m. for boys ages 8-14.
