The Osteopathic Family Practice Residency Program at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center appointed Dr. Giuseppina J. Kenyon Savard a clinical instructor and physician trainer, effective July 5.

Working from Memorial's Summit Family Health Center, Kenyon Savard also will serve as an outpatient family medicine practitioner, seeing and accepting new patients at Summit Healthplex Suite 200, 6934 Williams Road, Wheatfield.

She is a graduate of Canisius College and the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pa. Most recently, she has been in private practice at Wheatfield Family Medicine.

Freed Maxick and Battaglia appointed Daniel J. Orelski a senior accountant in the A&A department at its Buffalo office. A graduate of Penn State Erie, the Behrend College, Orelski most recently worked in the audit department at Toski, Schaefer & Co.

Also, the firm named Cara Rossi a tax staff accountant in the Buffalo office and Adam Hagner an entry-level field examiner in the Buffalo ABL group.

Rossi has an MBA from Niagara University. She had been a tax consultant with Tax Technologies since March 2009. Hagner is a graduate of Canisius College and recently received his MBA from Niagara University.

In addition, Joe Wesolowski, a Buffalo tax staff accountant, achieved the Certified Valuation Analyst designation.

Five Star Bank appointed Scott DiBerardinis vice president, business banking officer. He will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial clients, serving as their financial adviser, and new business development in the Victor, Canandaigua and Greater Rochester area.

Prime Source, a Clarence marketing firm, recently completed rebranding for Corning Community College. The college is a member of the State University of New York, with its main campus on Spencer Hill and several off-campus sites throughout Steuben, Chemung and Schuyler counties. Prime Source created a new logo, look and tagline that are being used on printed pieces as well as on the college's website.

Marrano/Marc Equity, a West Seneca-based home builder, has achieved the ranking of 144 among the top 200 residential home builders in the United States, according to Builders magazine's Annual Builder 100 Rankings for 2010. Marrano moved up from last year's ranking of 146. The Builder 100 and its Next 100 list are compiled from data collected by Builders magazine, the official publication of the National Association of Home Builders.

Travers Collins, a Buffalo-based integrated marketing communications firm, and Medaille College recently won two Silver Telly Awards in the Schools/Colleges/Universityes category for the "Change Your Mind" television commercials. The Telly Awards honor outstanding local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs; video and film productions; and web commercials, videos and films.

The Child Advocacy Center of Niagara was presented a $4,400 donation to enhance the center's child-friendly atmosphere with waiting-room renovations and new toys from Presti Karate Center owner John Presti and winners of the center's annual Kids Tournament and Kick-a-Thon.

The Child Advocacy Center of Niagara is a countywide resource that provides a child-friendly environment for a multidisciplinary team of law enforcement, social services, prosecution, and medical and mental health personnel to respond to allegations of child abuse.
