IRVINE - Sandra Marie (nee Vastola, Marshall, Bolognese)
"Love, like the eternal flame, may it glow forever." Of Naples, FL passed away in peace surrounded by her family on June 19, 2011. Born April 6, 1942 in Buffalo, NY, she moved to southwest Florida on August 17, 1982. Sandra Marie taught school at both St. Ambrose and Queen of Heaven schools, taught religious instructions at St. Catherine of Sienna Church and served as assistant to Fr. Ronald Sams at Canisius High School, all in Buffalo, NY. She was co-chairperson of Fr. Kloc's Bursars Ball for Children's Education in Bonita Springs and a member of the board at St. John Neumann High School of Naples. Sandra Marie was the author of "The Kingdom of Paradise," written under the pen name, S. Carm, and was awarded Author of the Year 2009 by the Cambridge National Assoc. of Professional Women. Sandra Marie's legacy - her smile, spirit and capacity for love will live on in her family and friends, including her husband, John J.; daughter, Franciene (David N.) Moros; son, Daniel J. (Diane) Bolognese; stepsons, J.J. (Michelle) Irvine and Anthony (Ruby) Irvine; 12 wonderful grandchildren; one great-grandson; adopted brother, Pasquale Bolognese; dearest childhood friend and sister-in-law, Sandra Umlor (Charles J.) and beloved friend, Patricia A. (Peter) Borgesi. She is reunited with her mother, Helen Carm and stepfather, Charles J. Marshall; father, Anthony R. Vastola; dearest Aunt, Lorraine F. (Caiazzo) Lougen; and Anita Bolognese. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 22nd at 11:00 AM at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 7775 Vanderbilt Beach Rd. Ext., Naples, FL. Inurnment will be private.
