Monday, 7 p.m.: Louise Nayer will read from her memoir "Burned" (Atlas Books, 2010) at 7 p.m. Monday at Talking Leaves Books, 3158 Main St. The book recounts the childhood trauma of the explosion and fire that severely burned her parents when she was 4 years old. She studied at the University of Buffalo in the 1970s with poets John Logan, Carl Dennis and Robert Creeley and recently retired from full-time teaching after 27 years at the City College of San Francisco.
