YEH, Martha Dunn

YEH - Martha Dunn 96, of Buffalo and Rochester NY, passed away at the Canandaigua VAMC on May 7th, 2011. She was born at Hazlehurst, Mississippi and moved to Hanover, Indiana, graduated from Hanover College and Case Western School of Nursing. Martha was married to William Pei Yeh of Zhejiang and Taiwan, China. Martha served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II and in Japan and Korea during the Korean War and at various Veterans Administration Medical Centers after the two wars. She lived a life of service always in concern of others. To all of her acquaintances, friends and family, she is recognized as a compassionate, generous, gentle and caring person - an angel to the many that she cared for over her long life. Martha was survived by her step children Joseph (Debbie), Thomas (Noelle), Steven (Gail) and Joanne (David); and grandchildren Ericka, Jennifer, Samantha, Joshua, Ryan, Robert, Ryan, Nicholas, Benjamin and Isabel. Martha gifted her remains to the University of Rochester. A memorial service for her will be held at 11 AM on June 25 at the Williamsville United Methodist Church, 5681 Main St. in the Village of Williamsville. A luncheon will follow immediately after the memorial service at the Italian Village Restaurant, 804 Wehrle Drive (Williamsville.)
