TVGA Consultants, a Buffalo engineering, environmental, land survey and architecture firm, named Elena L. Stevenson to its computer-aided design team. Stevenson has seven years of experience working on land survey and infrastructure projects. Also, the firm named Matthew J. Crowley an architecture technician. Crowley has more than seven years of experience in the design and construction industry.

Fichte Endl and Elmer Eyecare, an ophthalmology practice with offices in Amherst and Niagara Falls, has purchased the new FEMTEC femtosecond laser from Technolas Perfect Vision, a joint venture between Bausch & Lomb's Refractive Surgery unit and 2 0/1 0 Perfect Vision. The FEMTEC laser is considered the most advanced technology to create the flap that is used when laser vision correction is performed on a patient. This laser will offer less suction and pressure on the eye for some qualifying patients, resulting in less flattening of the cornea and a more comfortable experience.

C.M. Black Construction Co., a local authorized Ceco Building Systems builder in Concord, was recognized for achieving $5 million in cumulative sales in 2008 at the recent Ceco 2011 National Business Meeting in Tampa, Fla. Ceco Building Systems, a division of NCI Building Systems, designs and fabricates attractive, energy-efficient, function-oriented metal buildings.

HEALTHeLINK, Western New York's clinical information exchange, was recently honored by the Buffalo Niagara Partnership with the 2011 INNOVATE Buffalo Niagara Collaboration Award.
