A city man accused of shooting two men in the foot two weeks ago faces three felony charges after he was arrested Wednesday by police detectives.
Terrell D. Thomas, 20, of Spruce Avenue, pleaded not guilty in City Court to second-degree assault with a weapon, first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree possession of a weapon. Bail was set at $100,000, and he was remanded to Niagara County Jail.
Police said Thomas shot both men with a semiautomatic handgun at 12:45 p.m. April 11 outside a restaurant in the 1700 block of Pierce Avenue. The bullets grazed the left foot of an 18-year-old man and penetrated the right foot of a 19-year-old man, police said. Both were treated in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and released.
Security video from a nearby store showed Thomas cocking the gun, Detective Daniel Dobrasz said.
Thomas also has a history of drug arrests, according to court records.
