FUNDRAISER: Poetry, the video "From Pyramids, to Dungeons, to Liberation" and a panel discussion will be part of a program from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday in Frank E. Merriweather Jr. Library, 1324 Jefferson Ave. The program is a fundraiser to bring Dr. Jawanza Kunjufu, author of "Countering the Conspiracy to Destroy Black Boys," to Buffalo on June 13. MARCH FOR BABIES The March of Dimes will present March for Babies, a three-mile walk that also includes music, Buster Bison, and friends and family for a family fun picnic, at 10 a.m. Sunday in the Delaware Park's Marcy Casino.

BOOK-SIGNING: The Friends of the Burchfield Nature and Art Center will host a book-signing in celebration of a newly published book by local author and historian Jim Pace from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at 2001 Union Road, West Seneca. Pace, town historian, has written "West Seneca" for the Images of America collection by Arcadia Publishing Co. The book will be available for purchase at the signing. SPEAKERS SERIES: The Western New York Land Conservancy will hold the final free lecture offered as part of the 2011 Winter/Spring Speakers Series from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site, 641 Delaware Ave. Free parking in lot behind the site off Franklin Street. Paul Fuhrmann, of ecology and environment and the New York State Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management, will speak about how the WNY regional environment has been impacted by invasive species. PRELICENSING COURSE: Orchard Park High School, 4040 Baker Road, will hold a five-hour motor vehicle prelicensing course required for a state road test from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in Room 129.
