Five Spot / Quick hitters on the light side

1. WINTER'S RETURN

Don't think of Monday afternoon's precipitation as a snowstorm. Think of it as Mother Nature's way of reminding the Flyers that they are now in Hockey Country.

2. STILL NOT A GOAL

3. HERE WE GO AGAIN

Republicans have challenged Carl Lewis' state Senate candidacy, saying the ex-track great hasn't lived in New Jersey for the required four years. Donald Trump was quick to add that he thought he had heard that Lewis had a Kenyan birth certificate.

4. IT'S IN THE BAG

Fiesta Bowl officials are looking for Arizona legislators to reimburse them for tickets, airfare and other gifts. However, they say the lawmakers don't have to return their Tostitos.

5. TALE OF TWO CITIES

A nine-foot statue of football coach Nick Saban was unveiled in Tuscaloosa, Ala., over the weekend. Meanwhile, Dolphins' fans pulled down a statue of Saban in Miami and started pounding the figure with their shoes.
