LANDLORD SUMMIT: The Erie-Niagara Tobacco-Free Coalition hosts a breakfast meeting for area landlords to discuss the benefits of smoke-free multi-unit housing from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday in Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Center for Genetics and Pharmacology, Zebro Conference Room, Virginia and Ellicott streets. Guest speakers will be Hon. Patrick Carney, City of Buffalo Housing Court Judge; Pamela Berger, Belmont Housing Resources for WNY; and Jim Bergman, Smoke-Free Environments Law Project. Landlords will be provided with an informational tool kit with guidelines for the adoption of smoke-free policies.

STUDENTS OF COLOR DINNER: The University at Buffalo School of Law will honor its diversity and its graduates' accomplishments at this year's Law School Students of Color Dinner at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Buffalo Niagara Marriott, 1340 Millersport Highway, Amherst. The keynote speaker will be John V. Elmore, senior trial counsel and managing attorney for the Buffalo law firm Brown Chiari. He is the author of "Fighting for Your Life: the African American Survival Guide," which addresses the issues of young people and the criminal justice system.
