The Lou Reuter/Brian Dugan Memorial Scholarship Run is May 7 beginning at Kenmore East High School, 350 Fries Road, Tonawanda. The 1-mile walk will start at 10 a.m., and the 5K run will begin at 10:30 a.m. Cost is $20 for adults and $10 for students. Register at buffalorunners.com or signmeup.com.

Courtney Bondanza and Caylee Ford of the Orchard Park Gymsters earned regional titles competing at the recent Level 9 Regional Gymnastics Championships in Andover, Mass.

Bondanza took first in floor exercise, was second in all-around and qualified for the Eastern Regionals. Ford won uneven bars, was third on the floor, fourth all-around and advanced to Easterns.

BASKETBALL: Anderson Sports Youth Basketball Foundation will host the United States Basketball Association National Championship Qualifier in Buffalo, May 21-22. Registration deadline is May 14. All teams entering receive an automatic invitation to the USBA National Championship in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. Cost is $325 per team and is open to grades 3-12, boys and girls. Visit: www.USBAHoops.com. The sixth annual PAL/Mark "Chief" Williams Memorial Basketball Tournament will be April 29-May 1 at Niagara University, Niagara Catholic and Niagara Falls high schools. GOLF: The Kuntzman Memorial Golf Tournament will be July 15 at the Shelridge Country Club in Medina. Cost is $80 and includes 18 holes, cart, one-hour open bar, hors d'ouevre, dinner and prize raffle or $40 that includes one-hour open bar, hors d'ouevre and dinner. Proceeds go to awards given to Lockport High School senior athletes. The annual event honors the memory of Allen Lee Downing and benefits student scholarships. LACROSSE: Lancaster Lax is holding tryouts for summer travel teams (8U, 10U, 12U and 14U).
