Jail phone pals...

Put Paris Hilton and Lil Wayne on the phone together, and what will the pop heiress and pop rapper discuss? How about their overnights in separate jail cells.

Paris chatted with Wayne recently for the April issue of Interview magazine, according to the New York Daily News.

"For me it was OK because it just meant that I was alone with my thoughts," Wayne said of the one month he spent in solitary confinement after getting caught with an iPod at Rikers Island jail in New York City last year, the Daily News reported.

Wayne, 28, was serving an eight-month sentence at the time for a criminal possession of weapon conviction.

"There were times when it was pretty tough to be by yourself, and to have no television, no sort of nothing . . was OK. I did fine," he said.

Hilton, 30, served 23 days in prison in 2007 after violating probation for repeatedly driving on a suspended license and ignoring court order.

"I know how you feel," Hilton told Wayne. "It's the best feeling in the world when you come out," the newspaper reported.

One-name wonder...

Lindsay Lohan -- now going by just her first name, Lindsay -- is interested in playing the role of another one-named tragic star: Marilyn.

The New York Post reported Sunday that Lindsay's itching to get back to her movie career and has told friends she is thinking she might want to play the role of Marilyn Monroe in an upcoming movie.

For now though, Lindsay is preparing for an upcoming trial on charges that she stole a $2,500 diamond necklace from a Los Angeles store.

The District Attorney's Office offered her a plea deal in the case, but her attorney turned that now. The case now goes to trial, with Lindsay facing a jail stint if convicted.

Royal obligation...

And what will Prince William's bride be doing after the wedding, when Kate is officially a member of the royal family?

"When you marry the heir to the throne, the first thing that happens is you take on a level of civic responsibility," says MSNBC journalist and royals expert Martin Bashir.

"You represent the queen on a number of trips" around greater Britain, including, of course, Scotland, Ireland and other bonny sods," Bashir said, according to E! NEWS.
