Boston 2, Philadelphia 1: Brad Marchand scored a power-play goal with 3:43 left in regulation for the Bruins. Nathan Horton also scored to help Northeast Division-leading Boston clinch a playoff spot.

Detroit Red Wings: Goalie Jimmy Howard is day-to-day after an MRI revealed no major damage to his left shoulder. General Manager Ken Holland said Howard should be able to return next weekend, if not Wednesday night against St. Louis.
