BLAZEK, Virginia J.

BLAZEK - Virginia J. Passed away March 14, 2011, from complications from her long battle with Alzheimer's. A memorial service and gathering of family and friends will take place this summer in Western NY (to be announced). Virginia lived most of her life in her home in West Seneca, NY. She was born to Myrtle and Anthony Wayne Smith, September 8,1923. Losing her parents at a very young age she was raised by her Uncle Glen and Aunt Ema who she called mom and dad. Virginia's passing was preceded by her husband of 38 years Louis Blazek, her brothers and sisters, Ralph (Helen), Milford (Doris), Harry (Pearl), Barbra, Mildred (Earl), Olive (John). Virginia leaves behind her three children, Robert Merrick (Bev), Louis Blazek and Laura Luke (Gary); six grandchildren, Tim, Julie, Amy, Robby, April, Amber; and eight great-grandchildren. She was a beloved Aunt and friend. Virginia also leaves behind her devoted friend and companion Mike Greean. Virginia was active in Eastern Star and Variety Club, a past Matron of Olive Chapter, Grand Representative to Texas. She was a member of the Variety Club and bookkeeper for many years. Virginia was a generous caregiver to all in need. She was devoted to her family, friends, and her Buffalo Bills.
