MONTI, John

MONTI - John April 23, 1933-March 13, 2011. John was the seventh son of eleven siblings and his parents, Bernardino and Anna, were Italian immigrants from Rome Rome and Carpentaria, Italy respectively. John was born in Depew, New York, where his family worked in the steel plants. Just as his brothers served during World War II, John served in the Navy and Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War. John continued to serve his country as a computer analyst at Vandenberg Air Force base. Later, he made a career move into real estate on the Central Coast of California. John enjoyed fixing things, boating, water skiing, and made the best soup. A hardworking man, loving husband, devoted father, good brother and friend to many - John will be sadly missed. He passed peacefully in a hospital surrounded by his family with love and the grace of God.
A Memorial Service was held on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 2 PM at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 2216 17th Street, Bakersfield, CA 93301. Condolences may be sent to his youngest son John at (323) 474-4402.
