TALK AND BOOK SIGNING: Latin America Solidarity Committee will host a talk and book signing with Tom Rivers, an author and farm issues reporter for the Batavia Daily News, on his months working alongside migrant farm workers from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at 1272 Delaware Ave., Buffalo. Rivers authored "Farm Hands -- Hard Work and Hard Lessons."

FARM FORUM: The Erie County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board will hold a public meeting on farming, food production and agriculture plans for Erie County at 7 p.m. Monday in Cornell Cooperative Extension, 21 S. Grove St., East Aurora. Residents will be able to offer input on what can be done to support agriculture in the county, which is embarking on a planning process that will build an agenda for future efforts to support the farming and food economy and protect farmland.
