The Western New York Federation of Women's Clubs will hold its annual Single Subject meeting March 26 at Roycroft Inn, East Aurora. The event begins with registration and continental breakfast at 9:30 a.m.
Annemarie Jason, elementary librarian and master storyteller, is the featured morning speaker. A luncheon will be followed by a business meeting led by President Rhoda Zucker. First Vice President Judi Geer is chairwoman of the daylong affair.

The Buffalo Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau will host a "Getting to Know You" activity at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Buffalo State College. Members of Sigma Chapter at the college and members of Epsilon Mu at the University at Buffalo will attend. A business meeting will follow a purse auction and refreshments. Holly LaBrake is chairwoman.
Nonperishable food items will be collected and donated to a food pantry.
St. Ann's Sodality of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Williamsville, will sponsor "Fashions with a Flair," its 23rd annual fashion show and luncheon April 2 in Buffalo Niagara Marriott Hotel, Amherst. Styles from Christopher & Banks and the Children's Place will be shown. Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for ages 12 and younger. Doors open at 10:30 a.m., lunch will be served at 12:15 p.m.

Women Associates of the Buffalo Power Squadron will hold its annual budget meeting and dinner at 6 p.m. March 30 in the Buffalo Launch Club. Mary Travers Murphy will speak about her position as director of the Family Justice Center.
The Sisterhood of Temple Beth Tzedek will hold its annual theme tray raffle and auction March 27 in the temple's Lippa Family Auditorium, 621 Getzville Road, Amherst. Doors open at noon and the auction begins at 1:30 p.m.

The Rev. Alberta Lanz, pastor of Primera Iglesia Church, will present a Lenten message at a meeting of the Beechwood Service Guild that will take place at 10:30 a.m. April 6 in the Beechwood Residence, 2235 Millersport Highway, Getzville. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome.
The 2011 Handbag Happy Hour that benefits Everywoman Opportunity Center kicks off at 6 p.m. March 24 at Salvatore's Italian Gardens.
Helen Tederous, community relations manager at First Niagara Bank, is chairwoman for the event that includes hundreds of designer, celebrity and one-of-a-kind boutique handbags that will be available during live and silent auctions.
Proceeds will go to the center, whose mission is to help women achieve personal and economic self-sufficiency. The nonprofit helps women enter, re-enter, upgrade or change careers in the paid work force through services such as a career clothes closet, image consulting, career counseling, career readiness training, ESL classes and placement assistance.
