GRAND ISLAND WORK SESSION: The Grand Island Town Board will hold a work session at 3 p.m. Thursday in Town Hall, 2255 Baseline Road.

FUNDRAISER: The Lancaster Family YMCA will hold its third annual auction for the Strong Kids Campaign from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in Forestview Restaurant, 4781 Transit Road, Lancaster. The proceeds from this event provide financial assistance for camp, day care and youth sports for needy families in the surrounding community.

LEGISLATIVE OUTREACH: Erie County Legislator Lynne Dixon will host two district outreach meetings Monday. The first is from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in North Collins Library, 2095 School St., and the second is from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in Eden Library, 2095 E. Church St. Dixon and her staff will be available to listen to residents' concerns and answer questions about county issues.

PRELICENSING COURSE: Orchard Park High School, 4040 Baker Road, will hold a five-hour motor vehicle prelicensing course required for a state road test from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Mondayand Tuesday in Room 129. The cost is $25. Applicants must be age 16 or older and have a valid New York State Learner's Permit. To register, call 209-6295.

RED CROSS COURSE: The Town of Tonawanda Youth, Parks and Recreation Committee will conduct an American Red Cross CPR and automatic external defibrillator and oxygen administration course from 6 to 10 p.m. Monday and next Wednesday in the town Aquatic and Fitness Center, 1 Pool Plaza, Town of Tonawanda. The cost of the class is $41 at registration and a $39 check payable the first day of class to the American Red Cross. AUDITIONS: Auditions for Chautauqua's Got Talent Competition will begin at 5:30 p.m. Monday on the stage of the Arena Club, 319 W. Third St., Jamestown. The competition will be held over five consecutive Mondays at 7 p.m. from Feb. 21 through March 21. Tickets, on sale at the arena box office and Labyrinth Press Co. Cafe, 12 E. Fourth St, are $6 preshow and $7 at the door. A five-night pass is available for $20.
