Adult faith study

A five-week study program, "Embracing an Adult Faith," featuring Marcus Borg's DVD discussions on Christianity with small groups of adults, will kick off at 7 p.m. Monday in Pilgrim-St. Luke's United Church of Christ, 335 Richmond Ave.

Sessions run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Mondays through Feb. 21.


Presbyterian women meet

Presbyterian Women in Western New York will hold its winter gathering, "Expressing Our Faith," on Feb. 5 at Faith United Presbyterian Church, 3150 Elmwood Ave., Town of Tonawanda.

Registration is at 10:30 a.m. with the program starting at 11 a.m. Speakers are Yvonne Jaros of Compass House and Joyce Bailey of Lackawanna-South Buffalo Community Outreach. Registration fee is $5. Reservations are due by Jan. 31 by calling 662-7380.


Blessing of throats

A healing Mass with blessing of the throats will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 2 in Blessed Sacrament Church, 263 Claremont Ave., Town of Tonawanda, with the Rev. Bill Quinlivan as celebrant.


Healing Mass

A Mass for Healing will be held at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 6 in the St. Ambrose worship site of Our Lady of Charity Parish, 65 Ridgewood Road.

The Mass coincides with the feast of St. Agatha, patron saint for those suffering with breast cancer.

The Sacrament of the Anointing for the Sick will be offered.
