HOCKEY: Skate Great will be offering learn to skate beginner hockey classes at Holiday Twin Rinks and Leisure Rinks. All ages from toddlers through adults are welcome. Monday classes begin Jan. 31 from 5:30-6:15 p.m. at the Holiday Twin Rinks in Cheektowaga. Tuesday's classes will begin Feb. 1 from 5:30-6:15 p.m. at Leisure Rinks. Thursday's classes will begin Feb. 3 from 5:10-5:55 p.m., also at Leisure Rinks. Professional coaches will be on-hand to help. Quality skate rentals are available at no extra cost. ICE SKATING: Learn to skate classes for figure skaters and hockey players will be held at Hockey Outlet Ice Complex in Wheatfield. LACROSSE: Buffalo Wings Lacrosse plans to form at least two women's teams (more if needed) to accommodate 2012 and 2013 graduates. One team will be filled through a tryout process for both field players and goalies. Tryouts are free and open to 2012 and 2013 graduate year players who commit to meeting the required commitment expectations. Players who join the club, but cannot meet the required commitment expectations, will be slotted onto other teams appropriate for their age and skill level. SOFTBALL: The WNY Sting 14U Blue Girls softball team ('97 or '96 DOB) is looking for one infielder and one outfielder to complete the team, which will compete in seven summer tournaments including the NSA National World Series. Contact Mark Jentsch at 553-4346. WNY Sting and Hilbert Hawks will sponsor an all-position camp Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hilbert College gymnasium, 5200 South Park Ave., Hamburg. VOLLEYBALL: Registrations are being accepted for Wednesday nights Kenan Center adult volleyball leagues. There is a six-person coed recreational division and a four-person open competitive division.
