>Board soliciting interest in recently vacated seat
PENDLETON -- The Starpoint Board of Education announced it is accepting letters of interest from district residents to fill a vacant board seat left after the recent resignation of Annmarie Reeb.
Vice President Michael Zimmerman said the appointment is until the May elections, when Reeb's term would have ended. Filling the seat until then is vital, he said, as budget season is approaching.
The board ideally is looking for candidates with experience. Zimmerman said the board hopes to appoint its new member at its next meeting on Jan. 24.
Letters of interest should be sent no later than Jan. 21 to Ruth Pirinelli, District Clerk, Starpoint CSD, 4363 Mapleton Road, Lockport, NY 14094.
Further information is available by calling the superintendent's office at 210-2352.
