The Catholic Independent Practice Association promoted Barry Stelmach to director of finance. Stelmach joined the organization in 2008 and most recently served as accounting manager. He previously worked for eight years as part of the accounting team at Catholic Health System Home Care. He is a graduate of the University at Buffalo, where he earned dual bachelor's degrees as well as a master's degree. The Catholic Independent Practice Association is a network of physicians, the Catholic Health System and Mount St. Mary's Hospital.

Leadership Buffalo elected Donna DeCarolis to a two-year term as chairwoman of its board of directors. DeCarolis is vice president at National Fuel Gas Co.
