Friday's games

Toronto 9, Atlanta 3: Mikhail Grabovski, Nikolai Kulemin and Clarke MacArthur each scored two goals for the Maple Leafs, who had six goals in the second period.

Carolina 5, Florida 3: Jeff Skinner, who came into the game leading NHL rookies with 28 points, had two goals and an assist for Carolina.

Chicago 3, Ottawa 2 (SO): Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane scored on Chicago's first two attempts in the shootout, and the Blackhawks recovered after losing a late lead to beat the Senators.

N.Y. Rangers 3, Dallas 2: Mats Zuccarello scored in the second round of the shootout and Henrik Lundqvist was perfect in the tiebreaker for the Rangers. The Stars reacquired Jamie Langenbrunner from the New Jersey Devils on Friday. Langenbrunner played for the Stars from 1994-2002 and won the Stanley Cup with them in 1999.

Detroit at Calgary: The Flames' Rene Bourque, who is second on the team with 13 goals, has only one goal and one assist in his last 13 games combined.

Edmonton at Vancouver: The Canucks, winners of seven in a row, haven't put together an eight-game winning streak since a 10-game run from Nov. 9-30, 2002.

Columbus at Anaheim: Rick Nash of the Blue Jackets has just one goal in his last 11 road games, but has three in his last two games in Anaheim. The Ducks are 1 for 14 on the power play over the last five games.

Nashville 5, Los Angeles 2: Patric Hornqvist had a goal and two assists as the Predators won their fourth in a row.
