Sturgen A. Glenn, a third-generation owner of a family business, died Friday in Father Baker Manor, Orchard Park. He was 75.
Mr. Glenn owned and operated Emulso Corp., a local manufacturer of cleaners, polishes and waxes started by his grandfather in 1912. He retired in 2003.
The Buffalo native attended East Aurora High School and graduated from the Park School of Buffalo.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in 1957 and 1958 in Iceland, where, as the base's tailor, the private first class sewed patches and mended uniforms for his fellow soldiers. He went to work for the family business after completing his military service.
Mr. Glenn was a member of the National Ski Patrol for 25 years at area ski resorts. He also was a member of the Buffalo chapter of the Harley Owners Group.
He is survived by his wife, the former Marie Leschuk; a daughter, Jennifer; two sons, Andrew and Christopher; and a sister, Tennant.
Services will be scheduled in the spring.
