*The Patriots set an NFL record with just 10 turnovers in a season, although they did commit their first turnover in eight games, Danny Woodhead's fumble. BenJarvus Green-Ellis earned his first 1,000-yard rushing season.

*The Chiefs' Jamaal Charles, who had 87 yards on 14 carries, came within a whisker of Jim Brown's NFL record of 6.40 yards per carry. He finished at 6.38.


>Elway to return?

Hall of Famer John Elway is expected to rejoin the Denver Broncos as their chief football executive by midweek. The Broncos have won just one playoff game since Elway retired in 1999 following his second straight Super Bowl title.
