PFISTER - Norman W. "Norm"
December 29, 2010, beloved husband of the late Eleanor M. (Gasiewicz) Pfister; father of Marlene (Scott) Terell, Darwin Pfister, David (Patti) and the late Dennis Pfister. Norm is also survived by four loving, special stepchildren "without whom, I wouldn't have lived as long as I did." Richard (Barbara) Gasiewicz, Susan Gasiewicz, Patricia (late Louis) Zaccagnino, Deborah (David) Moore and "Little bit" Kim; brother of Mary Lou (late Adolph) Palczewyski, late Edwin (Joan) Pfister, late Irene (late Norman) Laboch, and the late Doris Sherman; Special Grampa of Jill, Ben and Ben who always involved him in their lives; also survived by eight other grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Sunday from 3-8 PM at the JOHN J. KACZOR FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3450 South Park Ave., Blasdell, where prayers will be said on Monday at 8:45 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial from Our Mother of Good Counsel Church at 9:30. Norm was a retiree of the Ford Stamping Plant in Woodlawn where he was a tool & die maker for 41 years. He was a member of the Ford Wagon Train, a Life Member and Past Commander of the Thomas E. Tehan American Legion Post #1449. Norm was a U.S. Army veteran of Korea, a talented wood worker, furniture maker and an avid NY Yankees fan. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice Buffalo, Inc. or the Thomas E. Tehan American Legion Post would be appreciated. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery with Military Honors.
