Vaccaro previously was a software engineer at Northrop Grumman. She is a University at Buffalo graduate. Young is also a senior-level Microsoft consultant. Most recently, he was an IT manager at ClientLogic and an IT technical director at NVS Interactive Media. He is also a UB graduate.
Lipsitz Green Scime Cambria named Timothy P. Murphy an associate in the firm's Criminal Defense Department. Murphy currently serves as a town justice in Pendleton. He is a former Niagara County persecutor, where he specialized in handling white collar and environmental prosecutions as well as appeals. A Fordham University graduate, he earned his J.D. from the University of Dayton. Headquartered in Buffalo, Lipsitz Green Scime Cambria has satellite offices in Amherst, Cheektowaga and Fredonia, and a regional office in Los Angeles.
The Niagara County Department of Social Services was awarded a $49,850 grant by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services to develop a state-approved, countywide Child Fatality/Serious Injury Review Team. The team will include representatives of agencies involved in the investigation, prosecution, intervention and prevention of sudden, unexpected child deaths or serious physical injuries. The one-year grant will provide funding for team training and equipment, a part-time team coordinator and a part-time pediatric nurse practitioner. The county will contract with the Child Advocacy Center of Niagara, a service of Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, with Laura Kelemen, executive director, serving as team leader.
Belmont Housing Resources for WNY is the new name of the affordable housing and community development organization founded in Buffalo in 1977 as Belmont Shelter Corp. Based at 1195 Main St. in Buffalo, Belmont also has offices in Hamburg and North Tonawanda, through which it administers a variety of programs for municipalities, develops and manages affordable housing, and provides home ownership counseling. In 2009, Belmont's rental assistance to area landlords injected $26 million into the region's economy.
Imagine Staffing Technology, a regional staffing and national search firm, relocated its corporate headquarters to the Innovation Center at 640 Ellicott St., Suite 414, in Buffalo. The agency was founded in December 2009 by Gia Manley.
