LAVELLE, Thomas Anthony Sr.

LAVELLE - Thomas Anthony Sr. Mr. Thomas A. Lavelle, Sr., 78, a Korean War Veteran, died Thursday, December 23, 2010 at his home in Alexander NY surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 27, 1932 in Lackawanna NY, the son of the late John T. and Mildred Dirr Lavelle. Mr. Lavelle was a retired Attica and Wyoming Correction Sergeant, a member of Attica Harder O'Donnell Post #734, American Legion and a parishioner of St. Joachim and Anne Church (St. Vincent de Paul Church), Attica NY. Tom was an accomplished musician/accordianist, and enjoyed traveling, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Joan M. (Duffy) Lavelle of Alexander; three sons and four daughters, Paul A. Lavelle of Florida, Lori M. Lavelle of Albion, Lynn (James) Poler of Medina, Lisa Lavelle of Batavia, Lois Lavelle of Alexander, Thomas Jr. (Raelene) of Rochester, and John T. Lavelle of Virginia; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, the late Arlene (Sam) Argerie; three brothers, Richard (Barbara) Lavelle of Buffalo, Fred (Ellen) Lavelle of Varysburg, the late John T Lavelle Jr. of Buffalo; a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Maloney of Buffalo, and Janice Duffy of Orchard Park. Thomas was also loved by many nieces, nephews and cousins. There are no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will he held at a later date. Burial will be in St. VIncent's Cemetery in Attica. Memorials are requested to the family. Arrangements were completed by MARLEY FUNERAL HOME in Attica.
