Reporters' Notebook / Bits and pieces of news...

OLAF FUB SEZ: According to the 28th president of the United States, Woodrow Wilson, born on this date in 1856, "If you want to make enemies, try to change something."

Layers of darkness slowly

Unveil bands of gray and pink

As dawn silently emerges on the brink

Of becoming a new day.

Gradually the colors descend

Into the background of the sky

As the blueness of the coming awakening

Becomes apparent to the eye.

The sun waits in the wings

For its turn to take place

And soon the darkness

Melts away as we embrace

The dawn of a brand new day.

We wonder what adventure

Lies ahead as we

Turn off the alarm

And arise out of bed.

The "curtain call" is over

And the drama is about to ensue

And the anticipation gets us moving

As we ponder all we must do.
