MILLER, Richard G.

MILLER - Richard G. 74, of Cowlesville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 23, 2010 in Mercy Hospital. Born August 11, 1936 in Buffalo he was the son of the late George and Emily Strowbeck Miller. Richard owned his own Concessions business for many years and was known for his delicious French fries. He also worked for the GM Tonawanda Chevy Plant for 10 years. Richard was a member of the East Aurora Moose Lodge 370, East Aurora American Legion Post 362 and a dedicated volunteer Fireman with the East Aurora, Wales Center and Cowlesville Departments. Besides his parents Richard is predeceased by his two step-daughters Brenda (John) McDonnell and Terry Kelver. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Betty Miller; three sons Vance (Cynthia), Robert and George Miller; one daughter Tracy (Elton) Luckett; one step-daughter Monica (Richard) Wurts; two sisters Susan and Barbara; eight grandchildren Amber Miller, Whitney Miller, Amanda Miller, Jackie Miller, Josh Miller, Alisha Montgomery, Jordan Luckett and Deonate Luckett and four step-grandchildren Kyle Ferguson, Devon Ferguson, Stuart Kelver and Melissa Wurts. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 3-6 PM in the KENNETH HOWE FUNERAL HOME, 64 Maple St., East Aurora, followed by a funeral service at 6 PM. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Richard's memory to the East Aurora American Legion Post 362 or to the Cowlesville Fire Company.
