Timon holds off Lew-Port
Timon-St. Jude saw Lew-Port come back from a 4-1 deficit before the Tigers put away a 7-5 victory over the Lancers in a Western New York Federation boys hockey game at Riverside Rink. Quinn Danahy had two goals and an assist for Timone while Justin Nelson had a goal and a pair of assists.
Tyler Mills scored a pair of goals for St. Joe's (7-2-1) in a 9-1 win over St. Mary's of Lancaster.
At Buffalo State, Kenmore West improved to 4-2-1 by edging Niagara-Wheatfield, 5-4, as Billy Moore scored twice, Mike Coin had a goal and two assists and Rob Feiler had three assists.
Josh Graser scored three goals and assisted on three others to lead Lancaster to a 16-6 rout of North Tonawanda.
Crabb leads Pioneer win
Pioneer (7-1) pulled away in the second half and defeated Olean, 70-59, in the girls division championship game of the IAABO Holiday Classic at St. Bonaventure's Reilly Center. Tournament MVP Jenna Crabb of the Panthers had 20 points and five steals in the final. Mikaela Connelly added 18 points and eight rebounds and Natalie Cornell had 13 points. Marisa Levia had 30 points for Olean, which trailed by only one, 28-27, at halftime.
