Chiampou Travis Besaw & Kershner LLP appointed Karen M. Antonelli, CPA, CCIFP, and Cheryl A. Jankowski, CPA, to principal. Antonelli, with the accounting firm since 1996, is a certified construction industry financial professional. She serves on the finance committee for Kids Escaping Drugs and is a member of the Niagara Frontier Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association. She is a Canisius College graduate. Jankowski is a member of the Estate Analysts of Western New York and has presented seminars for the members of the Tax Institute. With the firm since 2002, she is a University at Buffalo graduate.
The Amherst Chamber of Commerce announced that David P. Flynn, a partner in the Buffalo office of the Phillips Lytle law firm, has been elected chairman of the Chamber. Flynn, who has served as the Chamber's first vice president since 2007 and has been a member of its board of directors since 2005, will begin his term in January. The Chamber board includes 10 officers and 39 board members. Flynn concentrates his practice in the areas of environmental law and energy, and is a member of the executive committee of the New York Chapter of the National Brownfield Association.
The Children's Guild Foundation announced that Wendy T. Stahlka, president of Stahlka Marketing & Event Management, has been elected chairwoman of the foundation board. Also taking office were: John H. Edholm Sr., vice chairman; Robert L. Lupica, treasurer; Colleen A. Fahey, treasurer. Also elected to three-year terms were: Susan G. Koessler, Margaret M. Zak and William J. Williamson Jr. The foundation funds healthcare, education, research and therapeutic recreation for children with special needs and their familes.
