singer Keith and guitarist Jordan -- are coming home for the holidays. Of course, while they're here, it just wouldn't be right if they didn't convene Every Time I Die for a gig.
Make that three.
It has indeed been a bit of a whirlwind for the Buckleys and Every Time I Die since the band formed in 1998. Beginning with the 2005 release "Gutter Phenomenon," and continuing through 2007's "The Big Dirty" and 2009's "The Junk Aesthetic," the band has been bringing hard rock and even Southern rock influences into its hard-core metal attack. The results have been more than satisfying, and concurrent with the album releases has been a solidifying of Every Time I Die's power as a live act.
Bearing all of this in mind, it's less than surprising that what started out as one single Christmas show in Mohawk Place (47 E. Mohawk St.) has turned into a three-night stand at the venerable Buffalo rock/gin joint, based on fan demand.
Every Time I Die plays Mohawk Place at 7 p.m. Monday with guests Black Lungs, Trapped Under Ice and Tides of Antioch; at 7 p.m. Tuesday with guests Brace War and This Is Voyage; and at 6 p.m. Wednesday with guests Kid Gorgeous and the F-ing Hot Lights.
Ticket information is available through the club at 465-2368.
