Take the kids to Lancaster

The kids love him and parents do, too. Now Glenn Colton is bringing his family friendly music to the Lancaster Opera House (21 Central Ave., Lancaster) for an "interactive" holiday show at 2 p. m. Tuesday. Tickets are $10.

Later that night, the LOH is screening the sweet 1939 Shirley Temple film "The Little Princess," based on the Frances Hodgson Burnett novel. The movie will be shown at 7 p. m. Tuesday and 1 p. m. Wednesday; admission is $5.

Picturing a nursery rhyme

How about some family fare that doesn't involve the holidays? The Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum (453 Porter Ave.) is showcasing original illustrations from such famous nursery rhymes as Humpty Dumpty, Little Bo Peep, Jack&Jill and This Little Piggy in the exhibit "Nursery Rhymes."
