Brown steps down in Charlotte: In what was described by owner Michael Jordan as a "mutual decision," Larry Brown stepped down as coach of the Charlotte Bobcats. Brown, 70, had an 88-104 record in two-plus years in Charlotte, including a playoff berth last season. Paul Silas, a former Charlotte Hornets coach, will take over on an interim basis.
