RINALDO -Anthony Veto "Tony"
Anthony was a native of Buffalo and attended School #3 and Grover Cleveland High School until he was 17 when he joined the Marines two months after World War II was declared. He served in the South Pacific and was also a soldier and photographer in the Korean War. He was the first of three Marine brothers who served in World War II. Anthony was the son of Theresa and Thomas Rinaldo. One of nine children, the husband of Nicolet Zinni of Batavia, NY and the father of Rose Ann (Allen) Steele and Thomas (Kim) Rinaldo. Grandfather to Christina Rinaldo, Crystal Goodison. Jessica and Brian Steele. Anthony was the brother of Paul (Ann) Giata, the late Dan (Lucy) Delgato, Laura, Pauly Doerr, Michael (Late Irene) Wozniak, Mary Josephine, Dolores Marie Aris and many nieces and nephews. Anthony died in a three-car accident October 28 in Lutz, FL where he spent his winters. His body was cremated and flown to the Marine base in Quantico, VA where he had served for twenty years. He was given a military funeral at the chapel and was then taken to Arlington Cemetery for the twenty-one gun salute and was joined with his wife who was buried there. Anthony enjoyed photography, art and flying his own aircraft back to Buffalo. He will be missed.
