Synacor, a Buffalo technology company, appointed Krupa Rao a storage administrator and Praveen Batchu a senior systems administrator. Rao previously was a NAS/SAN administrator for Verizon Telecommunications. A graduate of Jawaharial Nehru Technological University, she earned a master's degree from the Poly Institute of New York University. Batchu, a graduate of Nagarjuna University, previously worked as a system/mail server administrator for Hewlett Packard. Also, the company named Jesse Thomson and John Burke engineers. Thomson most recently was a front end developer contractor for Synacor. He is a University at Buffalo graduate. Burke, a Clark University graduate, previously was a Web coordinator for the Baldwin School.

Robyn Young, CEO of OPCS Federal Credit Union in Orchard Park, was elected to the New York Credit Union Foundation's board of trustees during its recent board meeting. Young has 25 years of experience in the credit union industry.
