Looking for something fun to do tonight? Ted Leo and the Pharmacists take the stage tonight at Mohawk Place (47 E. Mohawk St.). The New Jersey band walks the line between the radical and the traditional through its ability to fuse punk and indie rock, soul and hardcore.
Here's two new Ted Leo songs from his March release "The Brutalist Bricks" to check out:
Also on the bill is the New Jersey rock band Screaming Females. There's only one actual screaming female in the group -- Marissa Paternoster -- but her high-voltage musicality is pretty powerful.
The band had nasty van troubles recently. Read what happened on their blog, screamingfemales.blogspot.com.
Show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are $15.
