Time Warner Cable promoted Roni Howell to director, Employee Relations. Howell, who previously served in Buffalo as senior manager, Human Resources, will now oversee the Human Resources Department for the cable provider throughout all of Western New York. A graduate from Park University, she has 14 years of human resources experience, specializing in employee relations.

TVGA Consultants, an Elma-headquartered survey and engineering firm, named Jacqueline M. O'Dell principal. O'Dell joined the firm in 2001 and serves dual roles as executive assistant as well as employee benefits coordinator for employees at each of the firm's four New York State offices.

The Principal Financial Group, located at 5500 Main Street in Williamsville, promoted Edward T. Nowak to vice president of Institutional Sales. Nowak will lead the national sales teams for large plans, nonprofit and consultant relations. He holds undergraduate and MBA degrees from the University at Buffalo.

Meals on Wheels for Western New York, a nonprofit agency serving home-delivered meals to homebound elderly and disabled residents in Erie County, recently elected the following individuals to its board of directors: Drew Cerza, president of Just Wing It Productions; Michelle A. Daubert, an associate at Hodgson Russ; and Kathy Pilarski, director of food and nutrition for the Continuing Care Division at Catholic Health System. In addition, the agency named Paul R. Enderle, owner of PE Engineering Sales, chairman of its board of directors. Other officers: first vice chairman, Glenn A. The New York State Society of Real Estate Appraisers elected Anthony P. Girasole, president and owner of Girasole Appraisal Company, a real estate appraisal and consulting firm based in Niagara Falls, secretary/treasurer.

Ciminelli Real Estate Corp., a commercial real estate services company, appointed Jeffrey C. O'Bannon director of Property Management. O'Bannon, who has more than 13 years of property management and commercial real estate experience, most recently served as director of Buildings for Ellicott Development Company. Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute appointed Jill Szczesek part-time event coordinator. Szczesek will assist in planning the third annual Riedel Comparative Crystal Fundraiser in November and HWI's participation in Buffalo United Artists' Gallery Walk in December. A RIT graduate, she earned her master's degree at Canisius College.
