More than 1,000 athletes will take part on the world's largest synchronized swimming event at the Town of Tonawanda Aquatic & Fitness Center during the 2010 eSynchro Age Group Championships. The competition runs from Monday to July 3 and will feature titles in solo, duet, trio and team events in four different age groups. Finals for the 11-12 age group will be Monday 28 with the 13-15 year old age group finals on Tuesday. Both the 16-17 and 18-19 age group finals will be held on July 3. July 3 will also be the "Pink the Pool" event with fundraising efforts to support the Avon Foundation.

The annual Lake Erie Interclub Cruise hosted by the Buffalo Yacht Club begins Saturday with the first of five days of racing on Lake Erie.

The first race begins in Buffalo with a 13-mile competition. On Sunday, it's a race from Buffalo to Port Colborne, Ont. Monday, it's from Port Colborne to Port Dover, Ont. After a trek to Port Dover, the sailors compete in the Long Point Bay race on Tuesday with the event closing Wednesday with a race from Port Dover to the Erie Yacht Club in Erie, Pa.

BASEBALL: D'Youville is accepting applications for a head baseball coach for the 2010-11 season. It is a part-time coaching position. Those interested should e-mail a cover letter, resume and three professional references to Brian Cavanaugh, director of athletics, at cavanaub@dyc.edu. The University at Buffalo is offering three weeks of camp. Session One, for ages 13-17, is Monday to Wednesday and costs $140. Session Two, for ages 7-12, runs form July 5-8 and is $175; while Session Three, also for ages 7-12, runs from Aug. 9-11 and is $140. Those who wish to attend both Session Two and Three can for a reduced price of $290. Camps run daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Contact coach Ron Torgalski at 645-6834 or at rjt4@buffalo.edu. St. Mary's High School is accepting registrations for its camp which runs from 9 a.m. to noon Monday to next Friday. BASKETBALL: Hilbert is offering two weeks of camp for boys (Sunday-Thursday and July 18-22) and two weeks for girls (July 11-15, July 25-29). ASYBF AAU Summer Basketball Classic will be held July 17-18 for ages 10-under through 17-under. Teams get three games and pool play. Registration is $325 per team. ASYBF will also host a camp for ages 6-14 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from July 5-10 at the Bob Lanier Center, 185 Lang St. The cost is $150 per child which includes two snacks, lunch and a Nike jersey. LACROSSE: Spots are still available for the Erie Community College girls lacrosse camp. Camp runs from 1-5 p.m. Monday-Wednesday at ECC South Campus. Cost is $50 and includes a T-shirt. All skill levels for girls age 7-17 are welcome. Contact coach Nick Wagner at wagnern@ecc.edu or 270-2652.
